Ramadan calendar of Mekkafood

Mekkafood, Europe‘s leading producer of 100% Halal frozen foods, also supports their customers during the fasting month of Ramadan. An exclusive Ramadan Calendar provides, apart from the exact time of fasting, helpful details all about this religious celebration of Muslims as well.
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic lunar calendar. It moves ten or eleven days each year and so gradually goes through all the seasons. As a month of fasting, Ramadan is one of the religious duties of Muslims grounded in the Koran.
Mekkafood published its own Ramadan Calendar two years ago and has received a lot of feedback. Now there is a new edition which has been broadened: besides cities in Germany, selected cities of the Netherlands are also included. The calendar has been put together so that the prayer times of a given city can be easily determined, as well as for the surrounding areas of the city. All times of fasting are taken from the official calendar of the umbrella organization called the Turkish-Islamic Union for the Institution of Religion (DITIB - Diyanet İşleri Türk İslam Birliği). The Ramadan Calendar of Mekkafood also includes the commendation of the Prophet Muhammad as well as the food prayer and Bakara Sura 183.
Fasting is a special form of worship in Islam, it belongs to the Five Pillars of Islam and is therefore one of the main duties for Muslims. Through self-control and concentration on the essentials, Ramadan should also promote compassion towards the poor and needy. Ramadan ends with the 3-day Feast of Fast Breaking which represents the end of the time of fasting and the Islamic holiday is declared.
We wish a nice month of fasting to all Muslims!
