Taste the future – the Anuga in Cologne
For a long time the Anuga has developed into the trend barometer of the most important trade fairs for the world of food & beverages. All of the new products are presented and discussed here. So the fair is the ideal setting for Mekkafood. From 13th to 17th October 2007, Mekkafood is also present, on the principle: Taste the future.
Since 1993, Mekkafood has offered more than 30 different halal deep-frozen products: from lahmacun to döner kebap. But also specialities such as the German „Bratwurst“, Dutch „frikandells“ and Belgian meatballs are part of the assortment.
Besides its extensive assortment, the market leader in exclusively halal products presents two absolutely new products at the Anuga:
Oriental soufflés: Creamy-spiced filling of soft cheese, wrapped in dough
Beef Oriental: To fry and grill in its own skin (pre-fried)
Oriental soufflés is a vegetarian speciality for connoisseurs. A creamy-spiced filling of soft cheese, enriched with aromatic spices, olives and garlic, wrapped in a crusty dough. This delicacy is hearty, crusty and tasty, to be enjoyed with salad, fried potatoes or rice – prepared in an instant in the deep fryer.
With the Beef Oriental, a German cuisine classic revives. It´s a pure-beef product with a special spice mix in its own skin – a real pleasing to the palate. As a quick snack or as a complete meal with the traditional side dish fried potatoes or french fries.
The trade visitors of the Anuga can already look forward to the presentation at the Mekkafood stand. For five days they will receive extensive information from halal deepfreeze specialists.
