Iskender met Kebab

  • 750 gram Mekkafood Kebab
  • 1 Turkish bread
  • 1 green and 1 red pepper
  • 4 tsp yogurt
  • 2 tsp tomato puree
  • 8 grated tomatoes
  • 40 grams of butter
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 tsp oregano

Melt the butter in a pan. Add the tomato paste and stir well. Then add the grated tomatoes, salt and oregano. Stir this well again. In the meantime, cut the Turkish bread into small pieces. You can warm it up beforehand if you want. Grill the peppers briefly and cut in half. Bake the Kebab in another pan as indicated on the package. Once this is done you can start preparing the plates. First, a layer of Turkish bread. Then a layer of tomato sauce. Then a layer of Kebab, which is again followed by tomato sauce. Top with half a pepper per person.

Serve with fresh yogurt & enjoy!
